RAWWWRRIn patch .32 Blizzard is updating the Druid cat and bear forms. New colors and textures have been added to correspond to a tauren’s skin color or a night elf’s hair color. These can be changed at the barber shop when the patch arrives. According to blizzard Given there are more hair colors and skin tones than unique form looks, some colors and tones will overlap with these new textures. The hair and skin colors chosen will, in most cases, correspond with the color seen in the look of each form. Some similar colors that may share a particular cat texture will not necessarily share the same bear texture.

This is great news for a game that has been out so long. I just love it when Blizzard updates an old model or adds something to the old world. When the next patch comes out it will be time to say good bye to that old deranged cat-wyvern hybrid with horns. Another added benefit to these new models is diversity. No longer will you see the same druid cat form everywhere. There are many combinations that will add diversity to the game. When you have so many people playing on a given server it’s nice to be able to stand out from the next druid.

I personally welcome any change that can help us customize and personalize our in game characters. Anything that can be done to give them an onscreen personality is welcomed. If you want to see a bigger picture of the forms click here.

Earlier today at EA’s press conference at E3, they announced a new MMO called All Points Bulletin.  APB is being developed by Realtime Worlds, founded by David Jones, creator of Grand Theft Auto 1&2 and Crackdown.  APB is a sandbox game where the players create the storyline.

Each world will consist of 10,000 players divided into districts of 100 players.  How the districts will work has yet to be announced, whether a player can leave a district isn’t quite clear, but from the press conference it sounded like you would be restricted to a single district.  Although like I said it’s not really clear.

The game will be in 3rd person ala GTA series and players will be given the choice of becoming criminals or enforcers.  Enforcers I don’t think are cops,  I guess you could say there more like vigilantes.   Realtime Worlds also stated that every player will be unique in the fact that no one else will have the same look, which is nice. The point of the game is basically to become famous and do whatever it takes to make it.

Check out the trailer below. Sorry its a bit bigger than the site.

Bioware announced just a few minutes ago that Star Wars: The Old Republic will be the first ever fully voiced MMORPG.   All NPCs will have voice overs with hundreds of thousands of lines in the game.

The first full length trailer was also shown which you can view below.  All I have to say is that’s one hell of a trailer.  Definitely the best trailer of the day.
