Thats a good question Kö: For the same reason why you started two of your sentences with the letter "I"
`
"I" believe cheating is a very black or white thing, you are cheating or you are not. And as I wrote, in my personal belief system "I" do not believe it is cheating.
`
And if it was a borderline thing, then who would I be cheating? It's endorsed by the company and every single player in EVE has the same opportunity.
`
A' La Wikipedia - Cheating is an act of lying, deception, fraud, trickery, imposture, or imposition. Cheating characteristically is employed to create an unfair advantage, usually in one's own interest, and often at the expense of others, [1] Cheating implies the breaking of rules.
`
Having dual accounts might give me an unfair advantage but it's not without someone being able to level the playing field. I hope that answers your question while being fair and diplomatic.

I really don't like that this is a usual practice in EVE and that the developers make a quick buck with an inconvenience they created with a skill-system that allows advancing only one skill per account.

I actually don't consider this twinking because I understand that twinking requires two characters on the same account that you can not play at the same time. Also, why is this "absolutely not" cheating? It's really a borderline-thing here.

I just have a problem with multi-accounts in EVE because a) you get a significant advantage simply by investing real money and b) the developers support this and make it smell like a money machine.

Big pile on wasn't it?
`
If I didn't recieve that email I probably wouldnt of jumped on the bandwagon.
`
Footnote: I have started the second account, but decided not to sell the plex for money and stick to my guns. I am going to foot it out of pocket until I am comfortable enough to run missions and make trades with her.
`
Then I am going to put that B---ch to work! Make meh some money!
`
Thanks for the comments, you've got a great blog. Does anyone besides you from the blogosphere read this website?

I think everyone pretty much said that they thought twinking wasn't cheating although I still hold by my argument that it gives people an unfair advantage over new players.

Love the Eve articles. Definitely a game I want to love. But just never was able to get a descent corp. These are the same things I always said to people crying about my multi-boxing. If you don't like it, don't do it. To me, leveling one character was horribly boring and mindless. The fun was seeing if i could run 2 or 3 (comp could not handle 5) char's in an instance and not have anyone notice until the end when simultaneous dance macro's and other things would give it away on purpose.
