Personally I rarely have more than 2-3 games I'll be playing at any one time, normally only one, maybe 2. This spans consoles and PC. A single MMO is normally among them.
...
I lean towards RPG's more than anything, so I tend to get lost in whats happening in the game if I am playing more than that at a time. Especially if more than one is an RPG. If I forget whats happening (What quests im on, story, lore), then I don't feel the urge to play that game anymore. While playing an MMO that I really like, I don't buy other games - at all. The subscription fee really keeps me focused. Consequently, when I start something else up, I stop paying my MMO sub for a bit, sometimes (like now) not going back.
...
Right now: Dragon Age and Borderlands are on the list right now and BL only recently because I finished a first run through of Torchlight.

1 TB drive for $85 - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001IEZX3G?ie=UTF8&tag=heartlegamer-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001IEZX3G

Fortunately, this is also the easiest and cheapest limiting factor to fix!

I don't think the space requirements for F2P games are any more demanding than paid for games. Being that this is the case, wouldn't hard drive space be the limiting factor for all games, not just the F2P ones? Just a thought. If you are really that worried about the drive space, there are ton's of browser based F2P games like Evony that can be just as fun as the drive space demanding titles.

My solution is to just keep buying larger and larger hard drives and tacking them on to my main one which has become just a shell with legacy programs still on it.
I see no reason this will ever cause me problems!

I honestly don't think there's anything the companies can do that isn't being tried already, hooking the players. Once a player is hooked it is highly unlikely that they would remove the game over something they are barely playing, paid or not.

I've left MapleStory on my computer for ages, just because I WAS hooked at one point. I always figure I will get sucked back in at some point.

Enjoyed the discussion, but the links to the quality F2P games are even more important than the topic IMO.

They could have something that slowly counts up, even when your offline, that gives you something nifty. That way you'd be inclined to leave the F2P game on for 'a little longer' since your getting closer to having that item.

What do you think?
