Oh, and like hacked... I work in the IT field... there is no keylogger on my acct. My account was inactive for nearly two months, and nobody else knew my password. They use random generators in the login boxes... so ncsoft sees tens of millions of failed login attempts from chinese IP addresses and does nothing about it. My password was also changed without any notice given to me, which is double f'd. Almost makes you wonder if NCsoft randomly messes with accounts that have high play hours to lessen server loads or something. How could ncsoft's website treat the change of password for my account differently for somebody else? There's something just completely wrong and unreasonable about their policy. Well... I guess with everything said and done, we're talking about pixels. If they want to delete the pixels I played for years for, I will never buy ncsoft pixels again, knowing full well they'll be taken.

Yea, I just had my Guild Wars account hacked. My gw account was nearly six years old, and everything worth anything accumulated over six years was taken. They told me that they tracked that gold sellers hacked it. I had a 13 character alphanumeric password, far beyond what is reasonable. They require character names for login, and none of my names were real words. They told me they needed all kinds of information for the account, such as the original serial keys. I spend an hour digging up everything they want, then they tell me "it is policy of NCsoft to not refund in game characters or items lost, whether purposefully, accidentally, or stolen." So not only did I lose everything, I was lied to, wasted an hour, got my hopes up, and didn't get squat back. I'll never play another one of their games again, and suggest nobody else does either. To grind out for six years and have everything lost is a f'ing joke. A really, really bad joke.

A common consensus between most of my friends and myself is that we are never gonna play an Asian MMO ever again. Sorry to keep ranting.

Also, all of my information was changed. Apparently my dad's middle name is now different. NCSoft is beyond retarded for allowing the hackers to change my security question; how would my dad's middle name change? How would my first school change?

I have emailed them several times, half-heartedly. Now, I just don't give a fuck. That game is dead, and full of Chinese goldsellers.

I have been playing MMOs since they came out, and 4 of my real life friends as well. We all started a guild on Aion, and within 3 months, all of us had our accounts hacked and we lost everything.

NCSoft is like "LOLWUT!? I NO CARE."

I dont know. From my experience, its hardly the fault of NC Soft if someone get a virus, spyware, keylogger, etc. I dont believe someone infiltrated the NC Soft server. You never know, the biggest problem is probably Windows, IE and friends. Like how several WoW accounts got hacked because of an exploit in flash. You never know.

Well its time to bump this page up on the search engines. I received an email from an in game friend 3 days ago saying that someone got into my Aion account and wiped the Legion warehouse and was selling all my items. I just now received a response to my support ticket asking for more information about my account, thank God that I keep all of my game information saved.

Saying someone is a retard when their account is hacked is retarded in itself. I have a strong password and do not surf questionable sites. I have been working with computers for 7 years now and know sufficient tricks to keep from getting hacked with all my other game accounts including WoW and other free MMOs. My account name is not something that is easy to figure out.

Here is the big kicker in the whole deal. I did not receive an email when my account was changed nor did I receive an email when my account was banned. If not for my friend telling me that I was hacked, I would not have known about it for months. We will see what NCSoft will do about restoring my account and I will probably post with that information.

To all you tards that think everyone is stupid cause they get hacked, UP YOURS!!

I've had it with NC Soft. They are criminals. Rather than spending countless hours playing their games, I now dedicate time (a few minutes every single day) to using up their resources. I create about 20 complaint tickets a day and will not stop until they refund me my money. I realize that this is hurting you all as well, since they don't have adequate support, but they'll have to spend some more money to fix that as well. The truth is, I hate those crooks at NC Soft, more than I care about the users. It's a quick way to say FU to them and spend their money at the same time. It's amazing how long they will continue to respond to these support tickets, before realizing that they've been had. After they ban your email address, you can just create a new one (the joys of free email providers). I guess I'll stop once I feel that I've cost them enough money, but I'm getting more satisfaction out of this than playing their games anyway. This all could have been avoided, had they taken responsabilty in the first place and stopped ripping off innocent people :)

@ wtf
Dont assume everyone thats has their accounts hacked is stupid?
I do play Aion, and I am in a legion with people that have had thier accounts hacked and they have absolutely NO idea how this has occurred. They have not clicked on suspicious links, and they are not stupid people, infact a few of them even work iin the IT field.
I have heard reports that there was a problemj with the aion log in screen security and this may have something to do with it, but I think its ignorant to "assume" that just because you have had your account compromised, that you are to blame as its not always the case.

On the topic though, of all the people I know that have had thier accounts hacked, every single one of them has had thier gear and thier AP, kinah restored fully to what it was before the incident. They did have to apply to ncsoft to have this done, by either an email or a petition, then there was a wait of 1-2 weeks before evrything was restored but that is maninly due to the fact that ncsoft have so many accounts hacked each day that they have a huge backlog to restore.

So, I dont know why these other reports have ot had the same treatement.

Hacking is a problem in Aion, but ncsoft have been working at it and as I have stated there is no reason that ppl should not have thier accounts restored.
