Dungeon Fighter Online is Launching on June 9th. The game is developed by Nexon’s Neople studio and is a 2D Side-Scrolling Hack and Slash MMO in which layers fight their way through dungeons, either on their own or in a party with up to three other players. Advanced players can also take part in intense player-versus-player competition, where each opponent can mean a wholly unique fighting challenge. Dungeon Fighter Online will of course be completely free to play for all you beat ‘em up junkies out there.

Sony Online Entertainment has announced a series of server merges for their MMORPG EverQuest that will result in the number of servers being cut in half. These server merges will start on June 22nd and end on July 6th, leaving ten servers in place of the original twenty. It seems the population of the game has decreased seriously which could be the reason SOE is taking these measures for EverQuest.

A new 3D Anime-styled MMORPG, Fairy Story Online was announced by the Chinese developer NGames Information Technology Company. The game resembles ROSE Online in terms of graphics and style, but don’t worry it’s not the first game to draw it’s inspiration from it(Bright Shadow, Flyff, Fiesta Online). NGame claims that the game has won numerous awards, including “GameSpot World’s Most Anticipated Online Games award in 2009″. Well, I don’t know about that, but let’s hope Fairy Story Online turns out to be good.

The applications for LOCO closed beta were extended until the start of the beta itself – 27.05.10. All you have to do is visit this webpage, use your alaplaya username and password and apply for the beta until the end date. Then, cross your fingers so the team picks you and get to play the game. Ndoors has revealed the next update for Atlantica Online. It’s mostly a series of minor tweaks and improvements like fixing old quests and adding new ones. Players can experiment with more formations now that up to two Hwarangs, Minstrels, and Punishers can be used in a single formation. Now word on when the patch is coming, though, but you can expect it to be soon. More information on Atlantica Online here.

Nexon has announced that there will be a new class available with the June launch of Dungeon Fighter Online, the Female Gunner. Female Gunners are chosen at a very young age to join the elite division of Imperial Guards known as “The Imperial Princess Garden”. As a Gunner you will also have access to one of four subclasses - the Launcher, Mechanic, Ranger, and Spitfire – at level 18. Have fun shootin’ in Dungeon Fighter Online!

The gang over at massively.com had a chance to sit in on a showing of the latest Marvel/Microsoft matchup Super Hero Squad Online. Although the “kid-centric” design of Super Hero Squad Online will deter some gamers, the preview was held in high regard and promises as much frenzied action and high-energy MMO moments as any other game.

The folks over at MMORPG.com have released a detailed review of Funcom’s Age of Conan latest expansion, Rise of the Godslayer – one of the coolest expansion titles ever birthed. Most people saw Conan largely as a dissappointment and the game quickly lost subscribers because of its lack of appropriate content to compete with some of the best MMO’s on the market.

It may of taken two years, but with this latest expansion, Conan has finally stepped it up to compete with the big boys and become one of the more impressive MMO’s to date. For the full review of Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer, click here.

Fallen Earth Project Manager/Producer Dave Haydysch has recently released Fallen Earth’s version of their official announcements with their latest State of the Game letter aimed at addressing issues brought up by its community of players. The focus was on recent additions to the game such as the launch of the Blood Sports (1.4) patch, as well as what players can expect in the future.

Fallen Earth will see the introduction of a new weather system, including rain, thunder and lightning.  Players can also expect to see a new system dubbed “Serendipity” which introduces rare world boss spawns, giving players an extra challenge with impressive rewards. Finally, the team will be adding a form of fast travel which could be seen as rather disruptive to the core game mechanics, but will cut down on long travel times.
