Well on its way to final release, King of Kings 3 has opened once again in its second closed beta test.  As of August 23rd, everyone who had already participated in the first closed beta can log in with their existing characters.

Gamigo, the German publisher and developer of KK3, will also be activating many new accounts for players who had signed up for the original beta but had yet to be accepted.

King of Kings 3 is a fantasy-themed MMO focused on Player versus Player (PvP) and Realm versus Realm (RvR) action.  King of Kings 3 centers around a war-torn kingdom that has been fragmented after many centuries of battle and bloodshed.  Create guilds and legions with your friends as you step up to take the throne and restore the Kingdom to order.

Straight from the developers’ desk, Amarie (Community Manager) brings a boatload of updates for Virtrium’s beloved massively multiplayer title, Istaria. After a summer of focused work on debugging the game, the developers are ready to begin cracking away at content updates and other projects. Always vigilant (and ever-grateful) of player-reported bugs, the team at Virtrium tops their “Known Issues” list with Imperial-owned structure activation glitch, as well as a need for an updated game launcher. The June and August content updates give a clear picture of what has changed within the world of Istaria this past summer.

Gamigo is finally back at work after their fun at Gamescom, and boy oh boy was it ever a busy week.  The Gamigo booth was swarmed with players from around the world just itching to try out some of their new titles.  Gamigo was very pleased to see this kind of attention, but was even more satisfied after seeing the mass crowd lined up to play Black Prophecy.  This is Gamigo’s latest baby and the development team has stated that they are very proud of it.  Black Prophecy was nominated for three different awards at Gamescom and was lucky enough to actually take home the “Best of Gamescom” award in the “free to play” category.  That is an outstanding achievement for everyone that has been working on the game,  and the development team themselves have said that they finally feel their hard work has paid off.

Good on ya guys! We all congratulate you on your award and look forward to seeing more news on Black Prophecy in the future.  Keep it up Gamigo, your almost there!

Real Time Worlds brings us all another brand new APB update that plans to cover a whole lot of everything!  This new patch promises to fix many more bugs within the game, as well as perfecting some balancing issues and even adding an advanced graphics option.  That all sounds nice indeed, but what about the main update featured in this patch?  Well of course they gotta have one.  This time around it’s a brand new addition call “the ready system”.  This new ready system stops the group leader from starting your gang into a mission prematurely.  This means that if your group wants to partake in a mission objective, every player must hit “o” to signal that they are ready.  Once everyone in the party is ready, then you will all be able to start your mission. So everyone hop onto All Points Bulletin right now to download this monster update and jump into the action.

Fortunately for us, that ‘s not nearly everything that’s getting patched.  For the full patch notes click here, and for more MMO news and updates, remember to follow us at MMOCrunch.com

SOEs DC Universe Online has some good news about one the icons of the game: Wonder Woman. The superheroine is getting some love from the devs and she looks great in the newly presented screenshots. Basically, we can see her displaying the powers she has, while fighting several villains in some action shots, and posing for eternity in a well presented collection of concept art and modeling pics.

The style DC Universe Online’s Wonder Woman shows seems to be perfect for the state-of-the-art physics engine the game uses, respecting the original comic look and details. We can get a glimpse of what she can do in the game as well, letting us all know you better not cross her path if you’re an enemy.

THE CHARACTER:
Wonder Woman is one of the classics of DC Universe. The superheroine created by William Moulton Marston first appeared in All Star Comics #8 in 1941. She’s an Amazon who represents the ideals of love, peace and sexual equality… a champion of justice. She has many powers, including superhuman strength, super-speed and the like. But what I like most is the Lasso of truth, a magic rope that forces anyone bound by it to tell  the truth.

Looking at the pics, I’m not sure if it’s better to fight her or to support her when the game ships… Who’s gonna pay attention to the combat when she’s  around?

Throughout the course of the last couple months, the Allods Online Team at GALA-Net have been working on patch updates while simultaneously testing the waters for a reaction to patch 1.1.00. Alas, the latest patch has put a chip on the shoulder of some fans, casual and hardcore alike. “CHOMP”, the writer of this Allods blog update, does not go into specifics regarding the object(s) of fans’ dismay, but immediately jumps into a list of updates. So shall we, then.

From the looks of the video, Inggison sure looks like a place that fairies would call home. Lush fauna and flora, brightly colored terrain, and sweeping hills populated with exotic wildlife make for an inviting zone for players to romp around in. However, Aion: Assault on Balaurea is not all about flowers and frolicking, the video ends with a fearsome invitation, “The World of the Dragons Awaits You.” Just beyond that giant purple mushroom ridge lies a darker side to Aion’s newest zone. It seems unfair that some of Inggison’s landscape is so full of life, while others are barren – populated by wandering behemoths who seem to have risen from the very bowels of the earth itself. If that wasn’t enough, the aforementioned Dragons patrol the skies, keeping track of the realm’s inhabitants – and intruders.

A new Elyos foothold in Balaurea, Inggison looks like a unique addition to NCSoft’s beautifully stylized Aion. The video tour has been posted with this preview, so you don’t have to listen to me ramble on any more – see for yourself!
