A new pack of screenshots for DC Universe Online has been unveiled. This time, SOE shows different action shots in PVE and PVP combat, placed in Joker’s Fun House, Glen Morgan Square in Metropolis, the Hall of Doom and Circe’s Lair.
The pics shown this time, let us see some pretty polished graphics. I’ve noticed an improvement since last Wonder Woman shots we published. If DCUO manages to have those good graphics running properly in our computers, while fighting in the middle of a crowded screen, it could be great fun. I hope we can test that soon but, till then, check the new screenshots for DCUO.

On September 15th, Nexon announced in a news post that early access will be allowed to the open beta of their newest game: Vindictus.  This means that any player with a closed beta key or those lucky enough to have received a beta-key from another player will be allowed to log-in to the game.

Vindictus is an exciting game, judging from the released cinematic videos.  They not only exhibit the brutal violence and split-second action involved in the game, but also show in-game play that resembles the popular game series God of War and Devil May Cry for the PlayStation 2 and 3 consoles.

Sadly, we’ve just known that APB is shutting down. This is so premature, as the game shipped last June 2010. Such a young game, should always have the opportunity to grow and develop properly. This way, all fans of APB face a hard hit in their morale. As a gamer and  MMO enthusiast player, i must say i’m sorry about this. MMO business needs many different games and APB was to cover a very specific gaming area. Apparently the servers are still up, where you can join some kind of a party and wave goodbye.

Read what a representative for the game has posted in a forum:

APB has been a fantastic journey, but unfortunately that journey has come to a premature end. Today we are sad to announce that despite everyone’s best efforts to keep the service running; APB is coming to a close. It’s been a pleasure working on APB and with all its players. Together we were building an absolutely amazing game, and for that, we thank you. You guys are awesome!
From all of the Realtime World staff we thank you for your continued support.
The servers are still up, so join the party and say goodbye!

Sorry to see you go, All Points Bulletin. Farewell.

Is the F2P tsunami unstoppable? Is this the new business model we’re all to see in the future? For now, some AAA+ games like DDO, LOTRO and EQII are making that bet, and now Pirates of the Burning Sea plans to do it in the near future. This is very important news, POTBS  is an interesting game that, perhaps, was lacking population. We all know that one of the most immersive things in an MMO is the sense of sharing the world you’re playing in, and, for sure, turning the game into F2P will drag lots of players to try the game.

For those who are not already sitting on the edges of their seats, a new contender in the MMO industry is going to soon be released.  Calling itself Kitsu Saga Online, it will be leaving its beta phase by the end of the year and players should definitely be looking forward to this.

With its rich graphics and in-depth gameplay, Kitsu Saga Online will be offering players an exciting and action-packed game experience while still involving the more industrious aspects of the MMO genre.  Crafting and farming are all taken care of via the robust pet system in-game.  This leaves more time for players to get their hands dirty, so to speak.

A few weeks ago, MMOCrunch.com was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be able to interview a representative from Aeria Games.  In these questions, we poked and prodded interviewee Kevin Simmons, a Game Master (GM) from Kitsu Saga Online about every aspect of the game we could think of.  His detailed answers offered new insights for a MMO that is sure to sweep the Free-to-Play North American market in the months to come.

Nadirim, the f2p browser-based MMORPG, developed by Digital Reality and published by Twisted Tribe, is about to enter closed beta phase. The game is getting closer to one of the most important parts  of it’s development, where all beta testers can help the devs to make the game better and complete. Next Thursday they plan to add new content to the game, consisting in four new locations and a new mob. The game looks great and has some surprisingly polished graphics for a browser-based game.

They still accept applications for the beta, so if you feel like trying a f2p game, with no installation, several classes, quests, PVE and PVP, pets and much more, check the Nadirim website. If you get a beta key, you’ll be adventuring in the Land of Eternal Sun for one thousand and one nights… oh wait, there are no nights in Nadirim, but you’ll be adventuring, that’s for sure.
