Star Wars: The Old Republic has a new update about an important and significant planet: Corellia. The game continues it’s path to become complete, adding more and more content. Bioware’s hype machine keeps working and now confirms a new playable planet.

As of today, another Turbine MMO title has become free-to-play, for the most part.  Lord of the Rings Online has finally adopted its sister game’s (Dungeon and Dragons Online) micro-transaction scheme in order to swerve away from the traditional subscription models that are so commonly seen in the higher-end MMOs like the industry-leading titan, World of Warcraft.

Recently, Blizzard did another Q&A regarding an area that went heavily under the knife for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm; Ashenvale. Ashenvale is currently a quiet, relaxing zone for mid-20 to early level 30 players. However the relaxing part is about to change. The new Ashenvale is aimed for level 20 – 25 players and is currently suffering from an elemental catastrophe. During the events of the Cataclysm a Volcano opened up in the center of the area, devastating the once peaceful forest. Garrosh, being the brutal tactician he is, decides that now is the best time to strike against the Alliance.

The MMO family grows. USERJOY Technology has announced it’s next game: Myth Angels Online. This new creation, releasing next October 2010, is based on Greek Mythology, keeping “the original 2D cute anime flavor of Angels Online” but adding many new features.

Everyone’s favorite character Sieghart has received a new bad ass skill tree in the popular MMO brawler; Grand Chase.  Seighart’s new skills are available to use right now, along with prize giveaways and brand new missions!  This player has 10 brand new skills for players to use in their monster killing escapades, and to celebrate all of this, Ntreev is currently giving everyone the chance to log in and receive special 14 day signboard items!  Not only will players receive these cool items but everyone in game will also be given random buffs such as attack & defense +10%!  Players may also partake in the new event mission, that will reward you with a free Skill Point Reset Card on completion.

EstSoft has recently announced that Cabal’s latest free expansion will soon be available.  The new add-on is entitled Episode IV: Porta Inferno.  Sounds scary right?  Well It should be, considering this next update will throw you head first into HELL!  This new episode will be available later this month in Europe and the United States.  Hopefully this new update will bring back some old Cabal players and perhaps attract some new ones. But for all those hardcore cabal fans that just love to grind their hearts out, there is definitely something here for you.  The level cap for instance is being increased from 170 to 180.  You will also have a wide variety of new skills to play with, and use them all within a brand new hunting ground.  If you’re truly daring you can take your adventures into the depths of Hell themselves to do battle with menacing creatures and massive outdoor bosses!

In a sudden and shocking announcement today, Bioware‘s Sean Dahlberg has resigned as Community Leader for the much-anticipated MMO: Star Wars: The Old Republic.  As far as reasons why, none were offered in his good-natured blog post about enjoying Labor Day.

He goes on to state in his blog that while stepping away from his position at Bioware and into the great unknown, there are still things to come from Sean Dahlberg in the future.

In a cryptic paragraph before being assaulted by an image of a cat bursting out of a Dr.Pepper box at another cat, he hints at something being in the works behind the scenes.  Many an eye will be kept on our dear Mr. Dahlberg as anything that can pull you away from the imminant release of a major MMO is definitely something to look forward to.

Released at Gamescom, the newest trailer video for Warhammer 40k: Dark Millennium showcases, finally, more information from THQ about the newest media expansion of the Warhammer 40k universe.

Shown in the newest Warhammer 40: Dark Millenium trailer is the mighty Imperium, mankind’s interstellar empire comprised of millions of planets and trillions of inhabitants.

Amongst the defenders of humanity against the alien, mutant and heretic are the three types of characters previewed: The mighty Space Marines, the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Imperial Guard.

So many mysteries await in Star Wars: The Old Republic. We know that Darth Revan’s mission  into  deep space discovered a reconstituted Sith Empire, but that’s not all.
