Though SOE announced recently the delaying of DC Universe Online release date,  keeps revealing stuff about the game. This time we can see some very cool combat screenshots, showcasing some player-created villains fighting DC heroes like Green Lantern and Power Girl. Those pics look great and I love how light and particle effects show in those powerful attacks.

Though the game has been delayed, pre-order is already available for any player anxious to get into the beta. The time for DCUO is coming.

Bioware reveals a new planet for its Star Wars: The Old Republic MMO, Ilum. The planet was first appreciated by the Jedi, who used the subterranean Adegan crystals to forge Lightsabers, that’s why they even started pilgrimages. Ilum, though, is not a safe place as is far away from civilization, having a brutal climate  and many dangerous beasts lurking around.

The Order of the Jedi has built Temples, providing a safe spot for Jedi pilgrims in their journey, as well of small enclaves throughout the planet. Now, Ilum is a place for powerful Jedi forging new Lightsabers and a safe harbor for Jedi Masters looking for a calm place for meditation.

More planets come for SWTOR and I just hope we could explore a thousand more.

Normally, going to a retailer in your local town doesn’t give you the best deals.  However, in a switch, Gamestop has a great deal for anyone who has been interested in picking up Fallen Earth, but hasn’t gotten around to it yet.  Between October 8 and October 22 (2010), consumers can go down to Gamestop and get a copy of Fallen Earth: Blood Sports $9.99.  It usually retails for $29.99, but during this short time period, there is a $20 instant savings for anyone who buys the box.  Plus, there’s an exclusive in-game mount, the Prairie Chicken.

Fallen Earth is a post-apocalyptic MMORPG with fast-paced FPS style combat.  The world itself is rich with lore (set in the Grand Canyon) and full of RPG elements.  If this appeals to you, then you shouldn’t miss out on this special deal.

Guild Wars 2 is such a hype machine and Arenanet knows it. To keep this exciting atmosphere around the game, a regular flow of information is needed, so this week’s Arenanet Blog brings a new article.

Last week, John Hargrove spoke of the upcoming Item System, awaking the fans curiosity about many details. That’s why this week, the blog brings a Q&A with John and Lead Designer Eric Flannum, answering a pile of fans questions gathered on the official web about armor, gathering, transmutation stones and more things. It’s such an interesting read I recommend to all GW2 fans and MMO gamers.

You can find the full post at the official Arenanet Blog. Enjoy it.

Bigpoint has quite a few games that a lot  of people are playing but few are talking about.  From Farmerama to Battlestar Galactica Online to Dark Orbit, they have quite the diverse free-to-play catalog.  Today at GDCO in Austin, Texas, I got a chance to get by their booth to see the first all North American developed MMO they are publishing.  Titled Ruined Online, it’s a fast paced third-person arena combat shooter.  It’s built on the Unity engine, so it will be playable on all browsers, Mac and PC.  The world is post apocolyptic, and the first set of arenas are set in San Francisco.

Senior Community ‘Scapes’ has posted a very interesting article about Crystals, an enhancement items system for Tera Online.

You can find all you need to know in the post regarding how to improve your weapons and your armor, using this enhancement system. Along with a summary of the different types of Crystals, you’ll find a list of conditional activation circumstances and a long list describing many effects for the Crystals when each class uses them.

Crystals are enhancement items that can be attached to equipment. Considered consumables, crystals can be destroyed randomly when characters die, or while unequipping them. Part of TERA’s in-depth customization, crystals allow the player to emphasize the strengths of their class and preferred play-style or overcome the limitations of their class or situation.

Have a look at the full post on the official forums.

Isn’t that Crystal clear? Tera Online continues it’s way and we’ll tell you about it here, at MMOCrunch.
