water-and-lava

Recently, Blizzard did another Q&A regarding an area that went heavily under the knife for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm; Ashenvale. Ashenvale is currently a quiet, relaxing zone for mid-20 to early level 30 players. However the relaxing part is about to change. The new Ashenvale is aimed for level 20 – 25 players and is currently suffering from an elemental catastrophe. During the events of the Cataclysm a Volcano opened up in the center of the area, devastating the once peaceful forest. Garrosh, being the brutal tactician he is, decides that now is the best time to strike against the Alliance.

dragon

Dragonica US will be undergoing some major changes. Dragonica will be transferred to WarpPortal. WarpPortal offers many F2P games, including: Ragnarok Online, ROSE Online and Requiem: Memento Mori and will be proud to add Dragonica to it’s roster. The good news is that all account information will be transferred over to this new service, meaning no starting over and you can get straight back into the game. However if you don’t wish to use this service, your account will be permanently deleted.

This change will only effect the US version due to different management. European players won’t need to worry about the change. Keep up to date with the transfer here.

Goblin Buildings

If you’ve played World of Warcraft before the expansions, Azshara will no doubt be the last thing you care about, but not anymore! The goblins have exploded onto the scene (literally) and made an impact that not even the cataclysm could leave on the zone of Azshara. Blizzard recently did a Q&A on Azshara, the new zone for World of Warcraft: Catclysm and revealed some more information on the ideas behind it and some of the changes. For one this is now a Goblin Zone. After the events of Kezan and the Lost Isles, the Goblin race finds itself in Azshara. This would be suicide normally but somewhere along the lines, Azshara jumped down around 30 – 40 levels, Deus Ex Machina or Goblin Brilliance? You decide! One thing to note about this zone is it won’t be a simple grind fest anymore. Blizzard has taken the questing experience and stripped it down to what made Wrath of the Lich King fun. This area will be using some of the new Wrath mechanics, such as phasing, and using them for a more story driven experience.
