I have to say that I am finding it hard to be objective when it comes to reporting Star Wars: The Old Republic information now. Each time I hear more about the game I find myself anticipating it even more anxiously – and I think you’ll agree with me after you see the Star Wars: The Old Republic gameplay demo videos below, provided exclusively by G4.

It’s broken down into three parts for TV, with the first segment being a general overview of the game and the recent announcement of player starships. The second section concentrates on showing some of a combat mission, and the last segment is perhaps the most intriguing of all, as it shows a little of the origin planet gameplay of the Sith classes. Part of the reason I am enjoying SWTOR coverage so much this E3 is that they are stressing both the fact of the game being fully voiced – something I am very much in favour of for RPGs in general, and am hoping becomes something other MMOs aspire to – and that the combat animations, even when the character is not technically using an attack, are fluid and match quite well with the enemies. More interactive combat animations are something that I’ve mentioned before here at MMOCrunch, and I’m glad to see that BioWare is going in that direction.

Click below to see the gameplay demo videos.

Here we have a set of new screenshots for SOE’s recently announced Clone Wars Adventures. Included are some screens of the landscapes and four of the mini-games. Those mini-games are: Republic Defender, Speederbike Racing, Starfighter and Training. Republic Defender appears to be a tower defense game and it’s not really clear what mechanics Training will take from the screenshots, but it all looks amazing.

Bluehole Studio and En Masse Entertainment have released the TERA E3 2010 trailer. Click above to get a peek at some of the vicious monsters you’ll be able to fight when the game is released. The trailer claims that TERA is the “first true action MMO”, and there is certainly a lot of quick combat going on. Those of you who read my post on the Guild Wars 2 Warrior will know that animations in MMORPGs are something I pay a lot of attention to, and I must admit that those that can be seen in this latest video are fast and energetic, just the way I want them to be.

As ever, further information is available at the official site.

What can I say about all this new Final Fantasy XIV media? Perhaps the highest compliment I can pay is to say that it looks exactly like a Final Fantasy game should, and that is no mean feat for an MMO. If you can manage not to be distracted by the cat people and strangely optimistic battle march playing in the background, the trailer above appears to show segments of the cinematic cutscene style that Final Fantasy is now famous for. Turning your attention then to the many screenshots below, you can see that the gameplay of FFXIV has not been short-changed in the graphical department either. I can’t recall whether Square Enix has ever made a game that hasn’t been gorgeous, but if so it is a distant memory now – just sit back and soak in that Japanese artistic beauty.

More interesting news at this years E3. Hi-Rez Studios have unveiled Global Agenda’s  first expansion – Sandstorm. The expansion features new weapon and armor sets, additional character customization, larger PvE raids, ability to play PvE solo with new content, new PvP additions, an updated User Interface, enhanced Agency vs. Agency campaigns and more.

Executive Producer of Global Agenda, Todd Harris, commented on the updated Quest-Driven Open World game play stating, “Sandstorm introduces players to two new NPC factions, new Bosses, new instanced missions, and story-driven quest lines within the Sonoran Desert outside Dome City. This expansion preserves our intense, shooter combat but adds story and immersion elements that we think players will really appreciate.”

Much of Global Agenda’s content is available with its initial purchase without the need for a monthly subscription. Players who do choose to buy the 12.99 monthly subscription receive any updates and expansions for free, additional game modes, the power to form agencies and access to Agency vs. Agency gameplay on a persistent single-world map.

Sandstorm will cover a big set of new features, content, and devices that will be added to Global Agenda throughout the summer of 2010 – free to all current subscribers.

The latest the Agency trailer looks almost too good to be true. My first thought while watching was that it looked as frenetic and smooth as a singleplayer action game, which has traditionally been difficult for massively multiplayer offerings to achieve. Let’s hope that the game really turns out this way, and that we’re all capable of actually running this monster!

For more information on the Agency, check out the official site.
