Ok, semi-new, it was released last Thursday via the Playstation Pulse webcast, however I just saw it today.  The DUST 514 footage is buried inbetween other videos and previews so I decided to cut out the good part and re-post if for those of you who also missed it.

The video is short, only about 25 seconds and shows off two vehicles in action, a warthog (I know that’s Halo) and a dropship. The rest of the video just shows some mashed up combat scenes.

It’s official, Star Trek Online is now free-to-play and to kick things off Cryptic has released a new launch trailer. Interested readers can head over to the STO website to download the F2P version if they want to try it out.

It’s a pretty generic trailer that doesn’t even mention the fact STO is now free-to-play, which is odd to say the least. You’d think they would have made that the major point of the trailer. Anyway, check out the Star Trek Online F2P launch trailer below.

The first major content update to Star Wars: The Old Republic, called “Kaon Under Siege”, is going live on servers on January 17th and will introduce players to a new flashpoint. Today BioWare released the official trailer for the update which you can view after the jump.

The Rakghoul plague has spread across several worlds and has made it’s way to the small world of Kaon where both Republic and Empire foruces will create an alliance in order to combat the spread of the plague.

The trailer seems to show the intro of the flashpoint with some gameplay later on, although brief. If you played BioWare’s original Star Wars RPG, Knights of the Old Republic, you’ll remember that it featured Rakghoul mutants as well, so it’s a bit of a throw back.

Undead Labs posted their first blog update of the new year and it was a big one, showing off for the first time some gameplay of their zombie MMO, which is currently in the early-alpha stage of development.

The video is actually a tour of their development studio, but we get a few glimpses of what the game as they walk by a few stations. The video ends with about a 20 seconds scene of two players barricaded in a house as zombies attack it, just enough to get your blood flowing in excitement. Can’t wait to see more.

For those of you who don’t know what datacrons are, they’re items and permanent stat boost for your character. Since they are hard to find and get to, we here at MMOCrunch decided to create some video guides to make it easier on you.

• Aim +2 X: -1017, Y: 1514
• Cunning +2 X: 1853, Y: 111
• Green Matrix Shard X: -505, Y: 1990
  This one required two players to get as you have to activate two computer terminals across a room at the same time
• Strength +2 X: 727, Y: 2033
• Willpower +2 X: 191, Y: -346
  While finding the box is pretty easy, opening it is another matter. To do that, you have to buy a key from a vendor which is marked on the map below. It cost 5000 credits, so make sure you have the cash first. There is also a second lockbox at the vendor with a key that cost 8000 credits and contains 2 Reconfiguration Disassembler Cores (purple). These cores can be used to disassemble the  Matrix Cube that you can create out of the Matrix Shards you’re collecting.

Jedi and Sith warriors invaded Time Square on launch day to battle it out in the heart of New York city. They were then joined by about a 100 SWTOR fans as they froze in place mid fight for New Yorkers and tourist to snap some shots of the epic duels.

While the flash mob fad might be getting old and worn out, showing up everywhere from commercials to TV shows and movies, a SWTOR flash mob is still awesome Check out the video below.

Datacrons are special items found within Star Wars: The Old Republic that reward players with permanent stat boosts and items when found, but they’re a pain in the ass to find. So today we release our first Datacron location guide starting with the planet Hutta.

Hutta is a starting planet for players level 1-10 and contains three datacrons listed below.

• Blue Matrix Shard X: -22, Y: 319
• Presence +2 X: 497, Y: -13
• Aim +2 X: -96, Y: 861

However location points can be deceiving as most of the time the datacrons are in some hidden or hard to get to location. Below we have a video guide to show you exactly how to obtain the 3 datacrons. More datacron guides will be release soon so check back often.

Yesterday EA announced Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances, a MMORTS game based on the popular C&C series. The game will be free-to-play and will be available on both mobile devices and through a web browser.

Closed beta testing begins today and those interested can sign up on the official website. The website is pretty bare bones right now with only a beta form and a few posts, but we do have the C&C Tiberium Alliances announcement trailer below. Check it out.
