It’s official, Star Trek Online is now free-to-play and to kick things off Cryptic has released a new launch trailer. Interested readers can head over to the STO website to download the F2P version if they want to try it out.

It’s a pretty generic trailer that doesn’t even mention the fact STO is now free-to-play, which is odd to say the least. You’d think they would have made that the major point of the trailer. Anyway, check out the Star Trek Online F2P launch trailer below.

The first major content update to Star Wars: The Old Republic, called “Kaon Under Siege”, is going live on servers on January 17th and will introduce players to a new flashpoint. Today BioWare released the official trailer for the update which you can view after the jump.

The Rakghoul plague has spread across several worlds and has made it’s way to the small world of Kaon where both Republic and Empire foruces will create an alliance in order to combat the spread of the plague.

The trailer seems to show the intro of the flashpoint with some gameplay later on, although brief. If you played BioWare’s original Star Wars RPG, Knights of the Old Republic, you’ll remember that it featured Rakghoul mutants as well, so it’s a bit of a throw back.

Check out the Kaon Under Siege trailer below.

Yesterday EA announced Command & Conquer Tiberium Alliances, a MMORTS game based on the popular C&C series. The game will be free-to-play and will be available on both mobile devices and through a web browser.

Closed beta testing begins today and those interested can sign up on the official website. The website is pretty bare bones right now with only a beta form and a few posts, but we do have the C&C Tiberium Alliances announcement trailer below. Check it out.

ArenaNet revealed the final Guild Wars 2 class two days ago as the Mesmer and today we have a all the juicy details plus a trailer showcasing just how bad ass this class can be.

The Mesmer class are magical duelist who rely on illusions and powerful mind spells to defeat their enemies. They have two illusion spells, Clones and Phantasms, which create an illusion that can deal damage to the targeted enemy.  Clone is less powerful and an exact clone of the caster while Phantasms illusions carry different weapons dealing more damage.

Mantras are spells that while take a long time to cast, are able to be cast in-between other spells, meaning while your Mantra is charging up, you are able to cast other spells or you can charge it up before a battle.

Confusion and Shattering are the final two spell types. Confusions is a condition spell that damages a target for the activities they do while confused and Shattering allows the Mesmer to destroy an illusion that will then deal damage or cast other effects on early by foes.

For a full break-down of the Mesmer class skills and spells head over to the GW2 website. You can also view the full Guild Wars 2 Mesmer trailer below.

NCsoft and the German gaming publisher Gameforged have partnered up to bring European players a Free-to-Play version of Aion staring in February 2012.

The switch will introduce three new account types, Free, Veteran and Gold.  Free will obviously have the most restrictions, but even the Veteran plan will have some slight restrictions. You can view the plan comparison at the Aion plan page.

As the title says this change only effects EU players, so North American gamers will continue to pay a monthy subscription cost, although I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes F2P later on in 2012.

You can view the Aion Free-to-Play announcement trailer below.

During the Spike TV Video Game Awards last night, Blizzard premiered the full opening cinematic for Diablo 3. The video doesn’t really show much in terms of storyline until the very end, but I won’t ruin it for you. Also still no mention of a release date, which is now just annoying.  Common Blizzard, spill the beans already.

Check out the full Diablo 3 opening cinematic below.

Bioware released another new Star Wars: The Old Republic “Choose a Side” trailer today, this time pitting the Imperial Agent vs the Jedi Consular.

In the vidoe Senior Writer Alexander Freed and Designer Ken Dilks argue over which class would come out on top, talking about each classes skills and abilities. Personally I think these videos are a bit pointless as the Jedi and Sith classes would always be the winners in these match ups, but obviously they have to be balanced in the game, so the outcome is going to be different.

Today we have a new trailer for the upcoming MMORPG ArcheAge showing what happens when group of players seizes control over a territory.

The video starts off with a small group of players sailing into the northern continent, landing and making their way to a territorial control point.  Once seized, we see a much larger army landing on the same shores looking to reclaim their lands with the video ending just before what looks to be a epic battle.

A video like this would have had my blood pumping a few years ago, however we all know that for the majority of games with territorial control points they tends to turn into a merry-go-round dances where factions take turns flipping the same points over and over. While I’m certainly intrigued with ArcheAge’s system, I’ll need to learn more before I get my hopes up.

Check out the ArcheAge territory control video below.

The latest Eve Online expansion Crucible is now live and today we have the official trailer for it.

Eve Online: Crucible introduces three new battlecruisers, three new Captains Quarters, brings backs engine trails, a massive graphics update, time dilation and many more UI improvements and balance changes.

Crucible marks the 15th free expansion to Eve Online, which is quite a feat in itself. I gotta say, CCP makes some kick ass trailers although everytime I watch one I wish Eve had real flight combat.

Check out the Eve Online: Crucible trailer below.
