The second expansion for Aika Online has been given a slightly more accurate release date description, from sometime this summer to mid-august.  Details for the Aika Epic II expansion, titled Lakia is Falling, have not yet been officially released for the global version of Aika, however the Korean version has been released for months now.  Taking a look at that we can get a pretty good idea as what is expected for the global version.

A new type of boss class monster called Royal Monsters have been introduced.  These bosses will drop new items called “scatis blue crystals” and will be needed to craft level 75 Ancient Honor equipment, which is also a new equipment class.  New mounts can be expected as well.  Six were introduced in the Korean version that were immune to Bind or slow movement spells.

The level cap will be raised to 75 and two new skill can be learned at level 71 and 75.  Finally a new instanced dungeon, an ice cavern with 7 bosses, to be exact will be added.

Of course this is all unofficial, we’ll have more details for you once we have it.

Calling all Aika players, until midnight tonight (PDT), all Aika Online players will receive triple XP.  So if you want to finish up those last few levels or want to get a huge head start on an alt, now’s the perfect time to do it.

Also a small patch update was released today also.

Game Update:

• Skull Drop: Lakia Emerald box and Experience Boxes are now Tradable
• Normal Channel EXP Bonus: Normal Channel now has a permanent 10% EXP Bonus

This week, Aika Global get a little more global by opening its doors to North American players. Aika Global is a F2P title from Korean developer T3 Entertainment which focuses on large-scale warfare and epic PvP. With numerous awards, including Best Online Game & Best Game Design at the 2009 Korean Game Awards, pitting it directly against industry giants like World of Warcraft and Aion.

To celebrate the initiation of Aika’s North American servers, T3 has organized an exciting (and useful) Double EXP Event from February 17th-20th. This is the best time to jump into the “smooth and hassle-free” gameplay of this ambitious Korean free-to-play title. The second expansion of the free to play MMO Aika Online has now arrived and ready for you to go in-game and enjoy it. Following the first  expansion “Ashes of Betrayal”, which raised the level cap from 50 to 60, “The Last Bastion” sets an increased level from 60 to 70. The new expansion adds the new region of Termiz to Lakia, a region once flourishing and vivid which is now covered by swampland,  plagues,  fire and torn by monster armies of the Dark Legion. Over 100 new quests are now available to adventure through as well as new weapon and armor sets to get your hands on.

Aika Online has announced that its latest expansion, Ashes of Betrayal, will be released June 17^th. The expansion will feature a new region of the Darkrane Forest, home to the half bird, half human race of the Kynari. Quests in the newly developed region will focus around restoring order to recent turmoil caused by the death of a high counsellor including a new instanced dungeon to explore. Following up on Joar’s recent post concerning the new expansion pack coming in Mid-June, Aika Online has released three new screenshots to gaming website MMORPG.com.

Along with this news, Akia Online has recently released a new patch note. Client updates include: Distribution of CSS prizes, minor changes to clarify item names and descriptions, and small changes to the user interface of the Aitan Arena for clarity purposes. Other updates include continuations of their popular youtube series of webcasts.

The first expansion pack for their hit MMORPG Aika Online, Ashes of Betrayal was announced by Gpotato. For now, all we know is that it will introduce tons of new areas, equipment, content and such, as well as raise the level cap. The Aika Online team has just released a brand new PvP mode for the game – The Aitan Arena. Within it, players can choose to battle it out and earn honor, gold and experience. The arena pits 100 vs 100 in a dodgeball-styled battle to the death where fallen enemies drop rewards. Matches for four different groups will be held twice a day in each of the five nations, providing plenty of opportunity for combatants to test their mettle. There’s also no need to worry about imbalanced levels or coordination difficulties–the Aitan Arena makes mass PvP accessible to more Aika players than ever before through its level bracket system and convenient automatic queue.

Gpotato have announced that their latest MMORPG, Aika Online, will enter it’s open beta phase tomorrow, March 16th. The open beta will include all six playable classes, all the level 1-50 content, a full range of PvP options, and a player-run political system. New and returning players will also be able to participate in a regular lineup of PvP events, including the 1000 vs. 1000 battles. There will also be weekly castle sieges where guilds will battle for political dominance. There will also be a series of mounts, including the Warrior’s war hamster and the Dual Gunner’s hoverbike.
